“A CAUSE FOR PAWS” benefit for Louisiana animal shelters
The John Sebastian show originally scheduled for Aug. 27 was rescheduled to Oct. 22. Mr. Sebastian graciously offered to reschedule to allow this worthy benefit to take place.
In response to the recent catastrophic flooding in Louisiana, the Towne Crier will present “A Cause for Paws,” a benefit to raise funds for Louisiana shelters dealing with displaced companion animals in the affected areas.
Admission is free, but donations are suggested for the Louisiana State Animal Response Team (www.lsart.org), an organization of groups and individuals with an interest in animal well-being related to emergencies or disasters.
A concert and silent auction are set to begin at 5 p.m. with performances by many Hudson Valley musicians, including John Hall (former US Congressman and member of the renowned performing group Orleans), Jake Holmes, David Buskin, The The Band Band, Stuart Kabak, Raquel Vidal's Diamond Hotel, Monty Delaney, New Middle Class, Margie Zintz/E C Lorick (duo), Mike Glick (duo), Keith Kelly, Jude Roberts, Diane Perry Band, Sharon Klein, Dead End Beverly, The Flurries, John Teagle & Band, Miss Vicky, Russell St George, Steve Kirkman, plus others.
