A FREE COMMUNITY EVENT!

Five years ago this October, two businesses from different ends of the music business opened their doors on Main Street in Beacon. The Towne Crier Cafe has been a continuously running music venue for more than 45 years but re-located to Beacon that October; and at the same time, Main Street Music, a totally new music instrument store, also opened about three doors down. Neither business knew what the future would bring, but they have both survived and thrived in Beacon's growing arts scene.

Now at the five-year mark, they are throwing a community music party as a way of thanking the community that has supported them. The evening will feature talented local and regional musicians and maybe some surprise guests, as well. Performers include the Slambovian Underground; Andy Stack with Buffalo Stack; Lee Falco, Will Bryant and Brandon Morrison (now known as “Restless Age”); Russell St. George & Last Minute Soulmates with Carla Springer; Thom Joyce; Main Street music Proprietors David and Jacob Bernz, and local banjo phenom R.J. Storm with violinist Max Smith.
