"Andy Stack's guitar playing is never flashy, but it’s surprising, soulful, and always in the right place...he has an engaging, pure voice." -Vintage Guitar Magazine

With slide blues guitar, gospel organ chords, New Orleans-style horns and group harmonies, bluesy roots-rockers Buffalo Stack can’t help but recall Woodstock heroes The Band. In fact, it was at Levon Helm’s barn in Woodstock where the members originally met, forming Buffalo Stack, who at their hardest hitting and blues-rockingest recall Black Keys or White Stripes.

After releasing two critically acclaimed albums in the last three years, “Ruckus and Romance” (December 2016, "devilishly brilliant," "intensely beautiful"/NoDepression) and “Finding You” (June 2018, a "fine, intense commentary on America's past"/No Depression), Bruce T Carroll is preparing for his third release later this year by hitting the road and playing the clubs.

Bruce's music, lyric driven and imagistic, has often been described as an amalgam of Tim Hardin and Tom Waits. His signature songs, including "When Two Worlds Collide" and "Fox In The Henhouse," continue to get good airplay worldwide. These songs, and others from his catalog, are rooted in his conviction that music and social conscience derive from the same wellspring of humanity, and gain meaning and power from their ability to unite and inspire.

Bruce, who will be a featured performer along with his band at this year's Pleasantville Music Festival in July and at the River Spirit Music and Arts Festival in September, has promoted his work on stage in the past two years alongside artists such as Slaid Cleaves, Ellis Paul, Jimmy Lafave, Dan Bern and Rita Coolidge.
